By people’s side since 1885 – RDNS was Australia’s first home nursing organisation, offering the aged, poor, frail and the sick access to healthcare that was once beyond their reach.

In 1966, the significant impact of RDNS nurses was recognised by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, with the granting of the ‘Royal’ prefix synonymous with integrity, quality and humanity.

Through the RDNS Institute, we’re conducting robust research into health issues that have a major impact on the aged, ageing and the wider community.

We’re working collaboratively with other research bodies and renowned universities with the united goal of improving service delivery, sharing knowledge and applying best practice.

and tomorrow.

The RDNS Education and Learning Centre is a centre of excellence in community health education, coaching and clinical practice, providing a range of courses, including accredited units of competency and in-service courses.

Combining evidence-based knowledge with clinical expertise, our courses deliver innovative education and training to RDNS staff and can also be custom-designed to meet the needs
of other organisations.

New thinking, new technology: building from our renowned international call centre, RDNS is continuing to embrace new technology, pioneering initiatives in telehealth, where technology and clinical practice combine.

Remote monitoring, video conferencing and the ‘virtual nurse’ model is helping us to deliver more services to more clients, support other health professionals in the field and assist families to care for loved ones with added flexibility and effectiveness.
